At the micro-regional composting facility, Compostal Kft uses EU approved in-vessel directly aerated technology to process organic waste. Biodegradable materials are composted through the provision of ideal oxygen and temperature levels while being covered with a semipermeable canvas. Unpleasant odors produced during composting are completely eliminated by this technology, and harmful microbes are killed by the high temperatures during the process.
As hazardous materials are not processed during composting, we are able to guarantee the best quality, weed-free compost that can be freely applied in gardening, landscape architecture, large scale plant growing and agriculture.
The following materials are admissible for composting if they are free from foreign materials:
• 02 01 waste from agriculture, gardening, water culture, forestry, hunting and fishing
• 02 03 waste from fruits, vegetables, cereals, cooking oil, coca, coffee, tea, tobacco preparation or processing, canned food production, waste from yeast and extract production, molasses processing and fermentation
• 02 04 sugar production waste
• 02 06 baking and confectionery industry waste
• 02 07 waste from alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage production
• 03 waste from wood processing, furniture, fiber-board, cellulose, paper and cardboard production
• 20 02 garden and park waste
• 20 03 02 waste from market places

The composting facility is accessible from the M7 motorway from Érd (taking the exit marked “Regionális Hulladékkezelő Központ” (Regional Waste Management Facility)), as well as from the direction of Tárnok and Pusztazámor, next to the waste management facility.
